If you’ve ever looked closely at a ScriptSave WellRx card or coupon, you’ve probably noticed some strange-looking codes and numbers on it (E.g. ID#, followed by Group # = 977, RxBIN = 006053 and RxPCN = MSC). These codes may not seem like much but, to the pharmacist, they are critical.
When your pharmacist enters those details into their computer, they are able to see the special price we have negotiated for your prescription. When the pharmacist has no codes to enter, the computer will simply display the regular cash price for your medication.
In short: the codes on your discount card help determine the price you pay out-of-pocket at the pharmacy.
At this point, you may be wondering if you’re required to print your prescription coupons or card in order to use ScriptSave WellRx. The short answer to this question is, no. Printing a physical card/coupon is not necessary to save on your medications, as long as you have the proper codes to show your pharmacist. In fact, between our website and mobile app, if you don’t have access to a printer, you certainly still have options:
If none of these options work for you, there is another easy solution: simply write the codes from your Rx savings card or coupon on a piece of paper and show it to your pharmacist when picking up your medication. (When you visit the pharmacy, hand the paper to the pharmacist and say, “Could you ring up my prescription using these processing codes, please?”)
For your convenience, use the ScriptSave® WellRx mobile app. Now savings are well in hand, right at the pharmacy counter. Save on your family's prescription medicines.
